This notice describes information handled when you visit The Cats Hub at thecatshub.com. It covers this website, not external websites linked from it.
Comments and information you provide
If you leave a comment, WordPress receives the information entered in the form, including the comment, name, email address and optional website. Your comment and display name may become public after moderation; your email field is not displayed with the comment. Technical information such as IP address and browser details may be processed to operate the site and help detect abuse.
Please do not include passwords, home addresses, financial information, confidential records or other sensitive information in public comments.
Cookies and analytics
The comment form offers an optional checkbox to remember your name, email and website in your browser. You can leave it unchecked. WordPress also uses cookies for signed-in administration.
The site loads a Google tag through Site Kit and uses Cloudflare measurement and delivery services. These services can process technical usage information such as requested pages, browser and device details, and request times. Google Analytics can use first-party cookies to distinguish visits. See how Google uses information from partner sites and Cloudflare’s privacy policy for their practices.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser. Browser controls do not necessarily stop every network request or all measurement. We do not describe a consent control as available unless it is actually displayed on this site.
Cat tools
The age, weight, name and symptoms tools calculate results in your browser. Their forms do not submit your answers to The Cats Hub. Ordinary page visits may still generate analytics or server requests. Do not enter identifying or confidential information into these tools.
Service providers and external websites
Hosting, security and measurement providers process information needed for their services. Information may be processed outside your country. Following an external link takes you to a service governed by its own privacy practices. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law.
Retention and requests
Published comments can remain alongside an article until removed. Administrative records, backups and service-provider logs may have different retention periods. Where applicable, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information, subject to relevant legal exceptions and identity verification.
A dedicated private contact address is not currently listed. The contact page will be updated when one is available. Do not submit identity documents or private data requests in public comments.
Children and updates
This site is intended as general reading for cat owners, not a service for children to submit personal information. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use. We will update this notice when site features or practices change.
